jason equi writes "On Monday June 22nd DeKalb Local 1236 is holding a rally concerning the severe economic and layoff issues that they are facing. They are requesting support from other I.A.F.F. Locals, including Local 99.
RSVP is madatory so we can plan for possible transportation from Aurora to Dekalb. We are meeting at A.F.D. Central Station at 4pm CST.

General News: Local 99 attends the I.A.F.F. EMS Confrence in Miami
jason equi writes "Three members of Local 99 attended the International Association of Firefighters EMS convention in Miami. The workshops were fantastic, and the information learned and shared was invaluable. The confrence was attended by Greg Jackman, Vice President local 99, members Bob Chance and myself. We split the workshops and spent as much time possible gathering insight into alot of todays ems challenges facing locals all accross the international. Local 99 News: Urgent!!! Local 44 - Joliet Illinois!!!
Sisters & Brothers,
Joliet L-44 is planning an informational picket and a rally to try and prevent city wide layoffs on May 27 from 1400 - 1700 hrs in conjunction with Joliet Officers L-2369, FOP and other Local Unions represented within the City of Joliet.
The rally will muster at the FOP Building in Joliet on the corner of Bluff and Jefferson at 1400hrs. Parking is available across the river at the Harrah's parking deck and the numerous other lots around Harrah's.

08' Lynwood Dive Challenge Picture Packs now Available!
jason equi writes "This years Dive challenge, 08' was held in Lynwood Illinois. The A.F.D. Dive / Rescue team participated, and had a respectable finish overall. Picture packs from the Dive Competition are available HERE!

Personal On-line Calendar's and Datebooks available!
jason equi writes "E-mail users now have a personal on-line datebook / calendar available. To use the feature, simply login to your E-mail via the web, and select the "Horde" e-mail browser. The calendar and datebook are located as the main menu ( Right center of the page) Users who do not have an E-mail account wil not be able to use this feature. E-mail accounts for local 99 members, and retired local members are free, simply E-mail me, or PM me."

New picture gallery features are enabled! As the picture galleries start to take shape. Many features are being added to make the gallery experience more user friendly. There have also been some requests for certain features that have been added. If you have not done so, please take some time to look around the galleries and familiarize yourself with the changes. The most notable change is the ability to post pictures in the 3 main " public" galleries. "Hot Shots" , " Local Sporting events", and " Local Participated Events" as well as your own personal galleries. Stay tuned as more features are added!
New Lynwood Dive Challenge picture packs available!
jason equi writes "There are two new picture packs available for download in the downloads section. They are part 2 and 3 of the 07 Dive Challenge in Lynwood IL. The two new picture packs were submitted by Capt. McCue. They are in very high resoloution (12+ MB) Our Thanks to him for submitting these for all to enjoy!
